Pure evil written in frosting

By Scott Tibbs, April 25, 2022

When God sent His people into the land of Canaan, He warned them not to follow the religions of the people who were there. The Canaanites would heat up an idol to the demon Moloch and throw their children into the fire, burning the infant to death. It was a truly evil practice, and it is still happening to this day. Our version of child sacrifice involves "doctors" at Planned Parenthood and our "god" is reproductive choice.

We have been told for fifty years that abortion is a sad thing but it is a necessary right for women. President Bill Clinton said in 1992 that he wanted abortion to be "safe, legal and rare." That is no longer the case, and the pro-abortion movement is increasingly celebrating the brutality of abortion. Killing an unborn baby is described as "health care" and celebrated with cake and a party.

18th century poet Alexander Pope wrote the following observation:
Vice is a monster of so frightful mien

As to be hated needs but to be seen;

Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face,

We first endure, then pity, then embrace.
This is where we are with abortion. We have seen well over 60 million babies slaughtered by the abortion industry since child-murder became "legal" in 1973. Despite the efforts of the pro-life movement, abortion has become normalized in our culture. We have moved from saying this is a "private" matter to something that is an objective good. When Rush Limbaugh said in the early 1990's that abortion is a "sacrament" of feminism, people said he was trolling and being inflammatory and hateful. But what Limbaugh said was true, and we see the evidence every single day. Limbaugh saw then what no one else wanted to see.

Abortion is not a political or cultural issue, although it affects both politics and culture. Abortion is a spiritual war. The abortion industry and movement are waging war against the very God who put His image on man. We should not forget the forces of spiritual darkness that are leading this battle, because the solution is ultimately not political. The only way out of this darkness is through the Gospel. Only a true revival can set people free from this death cult. We should be praying that God sends revival.
