Stop groveling before murderous Communists

By Scott Tibbs, October 25, 2019

I was a huge NBA fan in the 1990's, and while I have not followed the league as closely over the last 18 years as I did then, I have casually followed the league. As a longtime NBA fan, I was shocked and appalled to see them grovel before a brutal Communist dictatorship that is known for forcefully harvesting organs of political prisoners. This is to say nothing of the millions killed by murderous psychopath Mao Zedong, who is still revered by the Communist government today - something akin to revering Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy or Ted Bundy.

So if I could ask the NBA a question, it would be this: What is wrong with you?

NBA players and coaches have repeatedly spoken out on issues of the day, such as Black Lives Matter, immigration reform and police brutality. But when people are risking their lives and protesting for freedom, the league embraces moral relativism. LeBron James whines about "hurt feelings" while Steve Kerr wags his finger about the United States' human rights record. One general manager of one team makes a very mild statement in favor of Hong Kong's demonstrators, and the NBA cannot wait to grovel before the Communist government.

Of course, there is money to be made, rendering all of the NBA's attempts to be "woke" meaningless. The NBA has placed Mammon over human life. They do not care one bit about their fans in China. If the league did care, they would not be bowing and begging for forgiveness from the brutal Communist regime that is oppressing those people - including the Muslims in prison camps and the people of Tibet. The same league that scolded and punished the city of Charlotte cannot wait to silence fans who hold signs supporting people demonstrating for freedom. It is an utterly shameful display of cowardice and greed.
