Every year since 1999, Planned Parenthood has gone to the Bloomington City Council and asked for a handout of money forcibly confiscated from taxpayers. In 1999 and from 2001-2008, that handout came from the John Hopkins social services grants. One would hope that the Bloomington City Council would stop funding Planned Parenthood after the abortion clinic became mired in a sex abuse scandal in December, but that is by no means certain.
The funding application deadline is not for a few weeks, so I will not know if Planned Parenthood has applied for another handout this year until sometime next month. The schedule for the Hopkins program is below.
