The culture of death claims a "hospital" as an ally

From Reuters:

LONDON (Reuters) - The father of a seriously ill baby girl fought on Friday against a hospital's request to allow her to die if she stops breathing, saying he and his wife were not yet ready to let her go.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a court order to allow Charlotte Wyatt to die with dignity if she stops breathing again. They want permission not to resuscitate her.

There was a time when hospitals were to save life. Sadly, a "hospital" is seeking legal permission to murder a baby girl.

This case brings two others to mind, Baby Doe and Terri Schiavo. It is worse than both. In the former case, Bloomington Hospital collaborated with Baby Doe's parents to starve the newborn child to death. In the latter case, Terri's so-called "husband" (who is living with and has a child with another woman) is seeking court permission to kill his wife. But Charlotte Wyatt's parents want her to live, but the "hospital" wants to murder their baby.

Charlotte's breathing has stopped three times due to heart and lung problems. Does this show that God wants to take her home? If God wanted Charlotte to pass away, there is no force in the universe that could keep her alive.

A parent's wishes cannot be the most important thing to consider in a child's welfare. In cases of abuse and neglect, for example, parental rights must be severely limited, if not terminated. That is not the case here. Charlotte's parents are trying to give her a chance at life, a chance the "hospital" caring for her wants to deny.

The "hospital" wants to murder Charlotte because she has a "low quality of life". Who are they to decide? And once you establish that you can murder someone who has a "low quality of life", where do you draw the line? Do you start murdering senior citizens because their "quality of life" is lower than it used to be?

This case shows the depths of evil in modern society. I wonder if the Lord looks down on us like He did in Genesis 6:5-6? "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at his heart."
